Established in 2021, Freelance Education encompasses over 10 years of experience in Education. The mission of ​Freelance Education is to best serve diverse K-16 students (e.g., traditional K-12 students; students with special ​needs like autism, ADHD, and learning differences; English Learner students; and foster youth) by partnering with ​families, public schools (district and charter), and educational programs (university-based, state, and federal) to ​deliver high-quality mentoring, highly-effective teaching, and bilingual tutoring in the San Fernando Valley and ​Greater Los Angeles areas, specializing in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) subjects.

In addition to mentoring, teaching, and tutoring, founder of Freelance Education, Patricia Vargas has conducted ​nationally representative quantitative research sponsored by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and ​U.S. Census Bureau. Patricia has presented at several conferences in the United States, including the 36th New England ​Statistics Symposium (NESS), American Statistical Association (ASA) 2021 Symposium for Data Science and Statistics ​(SDSS), and 92nd Pacific Sociological Association (PSA) Annual Meeting. Patricia is also a member of the National ​Education Association (NEA), American Statistical Association (ASA), New England Statistical Society (NESS), and ​Hispanic Employee Council of Foreign Affairs Agencies (HECFAA). Most recently, Patricia was invited to teach ​Foundational Mathematics in a Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) middle school classroom.
